1/4 mile times are 90% car setup nowadays with the technology and knowledge. You can have a 300 rwhp car do 10's or a 500 rwhp car do 12's. All it means is how much money you spent on the drivetrain so at the end of the day it's what really matters to you. Just spend the money and do it, there's no secret sauce anymore, that was 20 years ago. It's just a money game for bragging rights or personal goals. (thread derail commence...)

If I wanted a 9 second car I would be doing a car swap, not a REW swap

 

If you want a 9 second 8, just slap in an LS1 and call it a day.
I see guys at the track with those motors in everything from
A Miata to Silvia's. And they walk around with their chests and butts sticking out like pigeons. I just wanna throw bread at them.

 

LOL. Though nowadays 8-9 seconds is pretty easy with a street 13b also with not too much overall work. You just need to spend some money in the right place and make your car an alcoholic and done.

well I guess you can count me in on this as well - even though I don't have a renesis engine in my rx8 anymore. Yes, it's still a rotary though

hey just thought i would drop you a line being that you are one of a few boosted Rx-8's in Ontario. i think i saw your car at Marco's back some time ago. any progress on the REW swap?

 

Ya it's been there for a bit.. Unfortunately not much has happened, still a work in progress. Received some Borg Warner goodies tho
