Hey Guys,


Just wondering if the Bumper to Bumper warranty covers interior damage. My steering wheel is starting to peel due to sunlight/heat. I wanted to know if the dealer will replace the wheel because of this. It's not normal wear and tear as the black leather is peeling away and bubbling from the actual wheel. BTW, I don't wear any rings or hand jewellery that would cause damage to the wheel like that.

Anyone else have this problem?

I would say that your warranty may cover it. My sister had damaged rear seat fabric in a Mazda 3 replaced under warranty. In reality the damage was caused by abuse. Dealers try to be reasonably honest with warranty claims, but ultimately if they're able to bill for a claim they get paid by Mazda and make money. Hence they have incentive to be on your side. IMO it's worth taking it to the dealer and seeing if they'll cover it. IMO I'm a reasonable person and it sounds to me like you have a reasonably problem, so I imagine the dealer may agree too.
