BCRX8 - Show And Shine Workshop September 29

Show and Shine Workshop
Saturday, September 29 10am to 3pm

After the initial show and shine workshop, we realized there is much to learn and share regarding ultimate car care. We also realized what potential there is to easily maintain this dazzling car care.

This was my car after the show and shine. Some folks thing this is a photoshop'd image, and truely I say to you, anyone doing the show will achieve this spectacular level of dazzling car care.

The first show and shine was a free event. I spent 132 bucks in product to work on the 3 cars that attended. Next time around I will ask for 12 to-22 dollars, depending if your car needs to be Clay-Bared and NuFinished, or just ultra waxed. We will be using different applicators, to ensure more wax gets on the cars then into the applicator. Don't forget the 8 dollars in change for the car wash.

Product highlights:
Clay Bar
Leather conditioner
Window Cleaner
The Liquid black tire polish + Turtle Tire foam spray
A top secret muffler Tip polish
NuFinish
McGuires scratch doctor
McGuires Synthetic X wax

Overall the cars will get a substantial coat of protection and shine. The brightness, contrast and pearl undercoat will be noticeably enhanced.

Show and Shine workshop:
1 car = 3 hours.
2 cars = 4.5 hours (2 people)
3 cars = 5.5 hours (3 people)
4 cars = 6 hours (4 people)
5 cars = 6.5 hours ( 5 people)

Arrive at the Royal Oak touch less car wash by 10 am for the wash & full cloth pre-cleaning.

You must bring:
22 Dollars for product resupply (First Timers)
Or
12 Dollars for product resupply (Return Visit)
8 Dollars in change for the touch-less car wash
3X Soft bath towels
1X Full Roll of Paper Towel
2X Plastic Bags
1X Trash Bag

If you are interested please sign up
This is where we meet to wash, before move on to the workshop: (Else where)

Once clean, we migrate to the show and shine location.

It is mandatory to wash your car immediately before the show and shine. There is no other way to guarantee your car didn't collect a little rock from your drive since you last washed it. We do a final dusting before the workshop, but that is just preventative, washing first is the certain choice.

Thumbs up I'm going to be there regardless

I'm going regardless because I always wax and clean my car every a month.

You know what? the cost of supplies is cheaper than if you did this yourself. Course... you could wash your car by hand, but who knows how far you have to drive to get to the show and shine and by that time you might have got a little rock stuck to your finish you don't want that getting stuck in the wax applicator. Now the Royal Oak car wash is just two blocks from the show and shine.

I hope $30 (22+8) dollars doesn't scare anybody! honestly how much is the value this workshop? if you prefer to bring your own wax tire polish and clay bar, be my guest. The clay bar alone is 25 bucks... and if you never used one, then you definitely need to by now!

Cheers

Gyro Bot signing off!

Good possibility, and if all goes well this weekend, I will be able to give a better idea of what Wheels West is willing to do for us.

I will book it off of work, to be on the safe side, I need to get her clean to match the new rims :D
I do not recommend getting 20's if you are worried about them rolling the edge of the fender to prevent tire/fender touching on bumps, or look into stiffer springs/coil overs, and or sway bar, I will be looking into both of those in the near future hopefully.
The tires themselvs, I love the wider look, and if you go to the show and shine, you can judge for yourself what you tink of them.

Wink Don't forget, a "maybe" helps me preplan the supplies to bring. thx!

Eldon / Collin you mentioned you might show up. If that is the case, don't forget to click on "maybe" or "Yes" if you know your coming out for sure.

Pretty sure more people are going to show up then posted on here, from what I've heard.

I'd like to know, just in case we need more (gulp) Clay Bar and Ultra Synthetic Wax.
If we run out, I'll whip around the corner to Lordco and pick up more. (Just would be nice to have extra, just in case)

Laters!

Well, unfortunately, I now have to cancel, work has me scheduled, since we have too many people on vacation, but if you are doing anything after 5pm during the show and shine, or mini cruise day, let me know, I am free after that, later.

Talking

Show and shine date is coming up.

Is there anyone out there sitting on the fence on this one? is the time too early?
Well even with 4-5 cars, I'll be plenty busy.

I'm pretty sure, everyone attending is going to enjoy the fruits of our labor. Eldon, where are you? don't even think not showing up Mr."I've never waxed my car" type person, your dead! hahaha. Get your butt down to the show and shine so we all can enjoy the reincarnation of your beautiful car.

Never waxed his car.....

c'mon Tiff, you must have lived in Vancouver long enough to know that weather predictions are hardly accurate the day of let alone a week before.
Anyways, if it'll be cancelled Tim will post it on here as well as email all bcrx8 members. Until then let's just hope that the weather man is wrong like he usually is.

Cool No problem

As a matter of fact, it was raining the last show and shine. There is no problem because we have a secret underground location next to a turbo fan. We can fit about seven cars in there for the show and shine. So rain or shine, this show and shine will happen. If it's sunny we can do this in the sun, if not we will do what we did before. Actually it doesn't make a difference if it rains.

Tiffany, can I ask a favor? would you mind clicking on "Yes" "Maybe" or "No" for the poll at the top. I just noticed you did not select one, I was counting 5 RX8s, when really there are six. If Eldon and Collin show up, that would make 8 cars. It would be good to know, to ensure I have enough product.

Thanks Everyone!

I will be showing up, but I will probably be in no shape to do any waxing or buffing because I will be out pretty late Friday night. But I will show up.

Bring the cash just in case, you REALLY like what you see. (You will need to wash your car before hand - of course) - the touchless car wash is the lazy way (my favorite way) to clean the car.

Signing up for 22 bucks, and clean the windows of the cars (for example). In exchange your car gets the full work up with the rest. There is a lot of services that will be done, you can turn down as many as you like.

Thumbs up Another successful show and shine - complete

Thank you to all attendees who made it.

I hope the Vancouver weather doesn't dirty you driving spirits!!
Remember it's weather like this, that a layer of wax is most effective (helps you keep it clean). Don't forget to rinse your car with a hose, and dry with a towel, it will keep the luster of your car strong even through winter.

You will get comments like: "It's winter! why isn't your car dirty!?"

Enjoy
