BC RX-8 Event - TBC Indoor Kart Racing (Saturday, January 26, 2008)
Happy New Year, everyone!
Since January is so cold and wet, we thought it'd be nice to do an indoor event. So, let's go indoor GoKarting racing! And maybe afterwards, we can head somewhere to grab some dinner. :-D
Date: Saturday, January 26, 2008
Time: 5:00pm
Location: TBC Indoor Kart Racing (2100 Viceroy Place, Richmond, BC)

Price: $40 for 3 races
We're not going to reserve the track to ourselves... I'll just phone in and pre-register the people who've signed up. And since this is a weekend afternoon, I'll need to pre-register a few days in advance to make sure we get our desired time.
So, PLEASE REGISTER BY Tuesday, January 22, 2008 @ 2:00pm!!!

Just a reminder to sign up at the bcrx8.ca website before Tuesday, January 22 at 2pm so I can book us in! So far, we have 7 people signed up. If we get 12 of us, we can have the whole track to ourselves!

I don't know who recommended the TBC indoor track racing, but man that WAS SO MUCH FUN!!
I could easily do that again!

Great first event of the year! Thanks everyone for making it out and sorry I couldn't join you all for dinner afterwards. It was nice to finally meet Hitman!
BTW, I just talked to a friend of mine who is a recent film school grad. He said that he'd film and help produce this year's whistler,pemberton,duffy lake loop Drive! It will look awesome when it's all done. In exchange that I let him drive my car for the twisty section after Pemberton... everything worth while has a price I suppose

You can start by loosing those 5 extra inches in height! haha! 
I know what you mean though ... Dan, Terry and Johnny, those guys get around quick!
Terry was telling me that the trick with driving around the course, is not using you brakes until the last turn. Yeah, but for a bloke like me, I'm going too heavy to "NOT" brake!! Even with drifting some corners and power sliding... I still can't keep up! My best time was 33 something... can't imagine anyone getting 29!!!
