A buddy of mine just got a satellite radio but I think he has the Sirrus if I'm not mistaken. Crisp quality and stuff, but to pay for radio just doesn't seem right to me. Especially radio that cuts out when you go under bridges.
I live near Ottawa and I got XM a year ago - I still absolutely LOVE IT. I loved mine so much I got my wife a second one so we didn't fight over it.
Paying for it at 9.99 USD a month is a steal considering that I listen to it about 10 hrs a day. I HATE AM/FM radio now - I can't listen to it for more than 2 min.
Sound quality is A with the tape adapter, about B+ with the FM modulator.
Last thing, you don't have to send the bill to your friend in the US - only your address has to be listed in the states - you can use any credit card (including canadian ones) to pay for it. I've called customer service and all they do is ask you for american address to confirm.
Finally, if you're a baseball fan, then there is no doubt. Starting in the next few weeks, they are playing EVERY MLB game including spring training, plus there is a 24 hr all-MLB station starting up.
If you're thinking about it, GET IT - I guarantee, you'll love it. I have the Roady with 5 antennae and power hookups (one for my Pathfinder, one for my 8 (with FM modulator), one for my boat, one for the home stereo system and one for work).
Hope this helps.
