Question 6MT Recall Work in Toronto

Hey Guys,

Anybody get the 6mt recall work done in Toronto yet?

My dealer, morningside mazda, claims they havn't got the tech information from Mazda Canada yet. So they can't perform the work. Has anyone else experienced this problem with the dealer?

On another note, if anyone in Toronto got the "m" flash done please mention the dealer location.

This has been mentioned in another thread: https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...threadid=25713

Anyway, I got all my recalls done at Airport Mazda including the refrashed of ECU to 30.8 (I think it is the same as M).

They are on Rexdale near woodbind shopping center.

Thanks for the information. Morningside was having problems with there computer. So they couldn't pull the information they needed to do the work. If they can't do the reflash I will bring it to Airport Mazda.

Do you find any difference with the reflash?

I had my car scheduled for both recalls & flash & oil change on Tuesday at Burlington Mazda. This after I confimed they would have the parts & were at WDS 30.6 or higher so I could get the M level flash.

Oil Change - done, but they invoiced me.. I have the free scheduled maintence offer for HP restatement. They said I have to tell them that when I bring it in. Any way they checked and did not charge me.

Air Bag- done

Damper - back ordred, dealer expects it will be in by end of Aprill

Flash - dealer only had WDS 30.3 (L Flash level) installed on their computer, so this what I got.

I was not happy

My wife said Burlington Mazda called on Friday to survey me on recent visit, she told them to call back today. They did & I told them I was not pleased about them being behind on WDS Level and not having the Damper available. They agreed to call me when both can be done, hopefuuly next week.

With the new flash, I am noticing much more response between 3 to 5k rpm. See posts on the "M" flash for detail.

It's a must have...

Are the re-flash options only for a specific VIN# range??? My gas mileage and performance don't seem too bad....average about 350km per tank (until the warning light comes on).
