Are you not on the 7 forum? Neo and myself are the only 7 owner that do **** with the 8 club? Will do but I don't think many will show as the 7 club has a meet planned for TMP.

I posted it on the 7Club few years ago, and they don't have much interest. Even the Sherway Gardens annual meeting, the 7's are not interested anymore. Are you going to the TMP meet too?

FD owners are a dieing breed.
Can't believe our cars are hitting 21+yrs already...

Too many people are hung up on marquee status symbols.

Due to all the safety regulations enforced now, all cars have electronic nannies.

It's such a relief to get into the FD, you insert the key into the ignition, and turn it till you hear the sweet sound of rotary coming out the exhaust.
No DSC, TCS, EPS, etc. nonsense. Don't have to push 10 different buttons to get the car to the setting you wish it would default too everytime you start the vehicle. No engine auto stop when you're sitting idling for a bit. No electronics getting in your way.

It's a beautiful thing!!! :D

Sorry I'm late to the party.

I'm in and will take 10 compression patients.
Only if I have a helper.

The patients need to to remove their own wheels as I don't want to be responsible for scratched wheels.

S2 guys will have extra work to remove the undercover so that may change the patient count depending on sign up.
If you can bring your own jack and jack stands would be a great help.

Its also a good time to change plugs if your inclined

The test will also throw a cell. I have a odb2 reader and should be able to clear the S2 cel however in full disclosure I've not tried it on a S2

Nicely said Neo, but aren't we kidding ourselves modern cars with all their electronic gizmos is a good thing. Better fuel economy, less maintenance and you & I's favorite, less pollution (Clean Air).

Scott, I'll help you out and bring what ever I can just put me down for the test. I just rolled over 70,000 clic's on the R3 this week, I now have more mileage on the 8 than the FD, so I figured it would not be a bad idea. Thanks

Ummm, I still don't think having all the electronic gizmos is a good thing. Case in point, my Miata. It didn't come with Bluetooth or navi. Just a stock radio. The car has remained mostly stock. But I changed the deck, and voila, I'm up to date on the "tech" side of things. That's the only thing beneficial of todays cars. The integration to your smartphone is easier, and cleaner looking.

The only nanny I have to continually turn off on the Miata is the DSC. So I've gotten into the routine, turn the key, and hit the button with my left hand before setting off. That's it. Just 1 button. Thankfully it's not like most modern cars where you have to hit multiple buttons. And even then, the system will reactivate if it "senses" things are gettig too much fun.

I'm hoping this year I'll be able to update the deck on the FD. Driving around without Bluetooth is dangerous nowadays.
