"Les Suites" hotel is an excellent place to stay. You are 2 blocks away from the byward market and one block away from Rideau Center mall.

Okay I did a travelocity search and Quality Hotel Downtown is $111 per night vs. Les Suites Hotel Ottawa at $145
Are people going to stay in Ottawa or in Kanata?
Comfort Inn West and Country Inn and Suites By Carlson Ottawa West are close to the meeting point.

 

You should try priceline; my friend got the Marriott for $65/night. Another got $110/night at the Westin via Hotwire.

We are starting to build up a good rx8 member base on OMC and we often meet up on Wednesday's and Friday's.

 

Any idea when you'll be getting your car back? 8+ weeks is just ridiculous...

 

i have some great news, they finally found the problem, the connector arm shaft seized causing the electronics for the power steering to give off the wrong amounts of power

so the part should be in tommorow and i get my car back asap. and they are booking me for some other repairs

I like that idea. I'm from Nova Scotia but I'm in Ottawa for the summer. I'm going to try and make it to the meet unless I have to work, but I think we should all meet up and roll in together.

Sorry. I can't. There are other events happening that same weekend that took priority.
I'm pissed about it because a few of our friends will be leaving for Europe later in the year. I was hoping to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
This just means I'll have to go up solo later in the year before they leave.

At least I won't be spending crazy cash on fuel. But it's the journey I'm going to miss most.
