1st Greddy turbo kit installed in ontario??
We are currently installing the Greddy turbo kit on our Essential Speed shop car.
We will be using the Greddy profec Eo1, along with the unlock code.. to tune fuel and timing i want to head towards 14psi. of boost.
Greddy turbo timer has also been installed.
I'm still using the DEI cryro "co2" system to keep things cool:
intercooler halo,intake tube and fuel rail temps, are all being dropped by the DEI system.
I am also developing the fuel upgrade for my rx8,to be used with the Greddy turbo kit.This is to support whp over 300, where our stock fuel can no longer keep up.
I will be going to dyno when weather clears up

Hey for all the canadian pricing view our website site.
Basic install of the supplied kit will be 850.00..includes a wideband tuning run.
To re-tune emanage will be by the hour or budget...
Options for the kit:
-greddy profec b Eo1>e-programmer and boost controler:725.00
-ceramic coated> turbo manifold,turbo backhouse and downpipe(gloss black)
:300.00
-ceramic coated intercooler piping:250.00(high polished finish)
-powder coated intercooler piping:250.00+/- dependant on colour chosen
-Greddy RS blow off valve>275.00 installed/welded
-de-burring the manifold and honing the downpipe for more flow>100.00
we have 5 kits on order and 1 instock.
i am also trying to organize a group buy for the canadian guys,but haven't heard back from the moderators on how or where to to post it?
i'll keep everyone posted with pics and info.

Are you still going to run the single exhaust when you put the turbo on it?
Good Luck on the project. I remember the last time I met you, you still were thinking on putting the "co2" around the fuel rails. How did that work out for you?

To answer the one question yes i will be running the single side exhaust,with now my own midpipe.The DEI will be ran through my fuel rail,and FMIC halo sprayer..i have left the intake ball out for now,don't want to block ari flow to the turbo:^)

i will be finishing the Es turbo kit for the rx8 sometime in the summer using the Wolf 3d for tuning,but the development costs are very high with kit,especially the high whp kit i need to build.Breif run down to R&D this RX8 kit...
Fabricate manifold,tryiing several different ball bearing turbo to find the right one+fast spool up,high horse power without lag all @ an average of $1500.oo min. each, Wolf 3.0 v4 standalone system for management another 1200.00 plus endless dyno hours to tune... ,Swapping intercoolers up and down to get the proper spool up time, etc,etc
Overall, i must do what is best for the shop...
Installing and tuning a Greddy turbo kit on the RX8 .We then must take the it as far as you can go,...proving to the other RX8 owners that we're competent in what we do.Thus making money on the sale and install,in turn better for the business as a whole.
We then will be developing a fuel upgrade(300whp+) to take the kit as far as you can go....turbo will support 400 whp that was included in the kit
The Greddy kit for the money,its hard to compete from a fabrication stand point...finding a market for those who wish huge horse power,and willing to pay the bucks are few between in canada.
So the business will make money as mentioned and this will help finace the high whp kit of my own...
besides i'm so busy with everyone elses car that mine will just get pushed to the back and lose priorty:^)
example my rx7 was taken apart for ceramic coating..it took me a year to get time to put it together.
i'll post pics and keep everyone up too date.

Hey guys finally got the kit installed,boy does the Turbo smart BOV sound freaking amazing!
When i figure out where i can host the MPGs... i'll post that as well.
The greddy kit went in ok,but not without issues.
But overall, a very well thought through kit:^)
Suprise was the lack of tuning that came with the e-manage unit.The tuning sent resulted in a surprisingly lean condition>17:1 afr!!!!
One other RX8 owner, in toronto had his on the dyno,and it was detonating under boost.he sent his unit to be re-tuned from greddy,second attempt resulted in a better AFr of 15:1 but still not enough.
Greddy also installed another resitor on the wiring hareness to compensate for the secondary air pump "check engine light".
After a long talk with greddy USA, i got the unlock codes and base map for the RX8 kit.
Now we have to re-tune the kit and submit the maps back to greddy so they can be used with all the canadian sold RX8 turbo kits.
Took the rx8 for a little spin,part throttle and barely any boost..a very noticeable difference in pick up and response.
A side note,look at installing sway bars and pulley kit when you install you turbo kit.
The removal of several stock parts makes those items exposed and very easy to upgrade.

Can't say for sure Essential ... I've never seen it but I did post a thread a week or so ago (Super 8 )about a Greddy Turbo already installed ... message me and I'll send you his phone number...

there was a problem in shipping a custom part that got side tracked.
the customer resulted in posting the scamming thread
i have refunded his money and all is well...when you fabricate custom parts they take time.
in this case an old partner shelved the order,and it got lost to add insult to injury.
i have been a huge supporter of all mazda products for years,i sell alot of product to long distance customers....
first one to produce and build in canada:
-a turbo kit
-headers(both 4-1 and 4-2-1) for the protege 5,
-Mazda speed protege> stage 1-7 upgrades(current project car sits at 335whp with 313ft/lbs of torque @ 15psi)
-Mazda speed iata>upgrades designed and fabricated
-My sec gen RX7 is approaching 440whp at 25psi
I have repaireds several of apsec's screw ups and nightmares
so the shop is know all over the world for our products,i can please veryone..but i try hard as hell.
As for the RX8 turbo kit...greddy has given us the unlock codes for the emanage system,as they have tried twice to tune constantines kit..both time resulted in detonation and afr of 15-17 :1
So they are holding RX8 kit from being shipped unitl mine is tuned and the maps are sent...then we will be tuning constantines Rx8 as well.
Paul bowhan and friend detonated the RX8 several times on the dyno
..then the customer mention that he called us.
