That is quite low, as mentioned im at 170ish with mine but i have a 06 6 speed.

Wish I could have been there, but im stuck in a stupid hotel room. Ahh welll.....

My friend Craig said he seen you guys there he has the 240sx.. I know paul from splitfire for years, i may go in and see what kinda numbers im doing now with the exhaust and test pipe.

Im surprised that turbo8 didnt make more power, are you running low boost or a conservative tune?

You can't compare a 4AT to a 6AT. The 6AT has the extra injectors and is in essense the exact same engine "high power" as the 6MT.

Had a great time guys. Thanks again for having me... just rolled into the homestead.

You plan on doing the ignition solution and get bigger injectors?

He was still running the emanage blue, we just had to disconnect it before installing the AP. I didn't actually cut any of the wires with my knife, just had to pry the cover tabs back a little to remove it.

My result was 193 HP & 137 ft/lbs, my setup is RB intake with duct, stock cat and MS dual exhaust. I was happy with those results, Jeff felt I could get about 10 HP more if I took off the cat.

I don't have the plot right now, Jeff is going to change it to a pdf and e-mail it to me soon. I'll post up what I get.

Brian

Well I wish my car have more hp stock...but I am happy with the smoothness.

I do need more time to observe the overall driviabilty...one thing for sure, more grunt to use at 6th gear around 90km/h (2-3k rpm)...less need to downshift on highway

So all in all fellas, is the Cobb unit woth it? Give us an un-biased opinion of the unit. Especially those who are NA. for FI i know the benefits, but for NA applications is is worth it?

Quite happy with the results, No previously undiscovered issues. One thing I notice the last couple of days is the car starts up with no effort at all. It was never a problem before but now it's just a quick flip and it's going. I'll have to make a note to check the oil more often as that is something that was bumped up. Very enjoyable day good to put faces to user names, although I forget names almost as fast as I hear them until I use them a few times, name tags would be an idea for the next one

Just for the added fuel economy it's worth it, I've max out on a drive to Wiarton and back driving at around 80-110 kph...600km on one tank of gas, Low fuel light came on at 510kms. Don't know if it will ever happen again but I also never expected it to happen once. On top of that there's the smoothness, better feel to the acceleration, extended engine life........... What more do you need?

For me personally, a great investment:
> 13 more HP
> Smoother acceleration

We I have to say I was shocked at what this "tuning device" cost and the results it provided. The results I saw it gained 4 RWHP for a cost of $800.00! Thats $200.00 per horsepower. I think the big HP gains on the Renesis engine will be in exhaust port work. I dont know who does this as of yet, but patience will probably save lots of money and result in major horespower gains. Just an opinion as usual!

I know I know but hey .... its the potential of the custom tuning that attracts me. Accessport works most when you get off the cat...as evidence by rx8thunder 13rwhp gain...but I am not sure about what contribute the most.

And I can monitor my R/L mileage, doing test runs, and have a smoother curve on acceleration,....ok, maybe I am still in denial :P

I will be tracking my mileage for the next 10 run religiously though.

Kinda what I was thinking/hesitating about buying this product. When the hell is porting out our engines gonna be anyway? I haven't even seen anything about porting out our throttle bodies even to start!

Contact RxThunder I believe he took it with him when the last of us left. We found one at the end of the day but didn't know who's it was.
