Any modification that you make to your car void the warranty for that particular item.

I.e: if you put an aftermarket exhaust on your it would be unreasoable to expect Mazda to warrant it (unless it was provided and fitted by Mazda).

Air filters, light bulbs etc. are considered consumables and at your own expense.

Something to be aware of when modifying your car is that warranty will be voided on any failure if Mazda can attribute that failure to one or more of the modifications.

Cheers.... Otto

Good said Otto

As above

It is harder for the MA to void parts outside the mod, unless they can show a direct link.

As stated in an earlier post, if MA can show a direct link to the mod and the engine failure they will void your warranty.

Doing MODs are at your risk. Expect to have a warranty claim challenged if anything attached to the failed part is non standard/genuine.

I don't think even yellow is allowed. White is ok but blue is not

Amber fogs were stock in my 1993 MX6 Luxury ... they really light up the lines a lot better on dark icey mornings.

Agreed.

I know that some people like turning them on when in a group cruise but I think it's a bit naff, not to mention illegal.

I prefer to leave that kind of thing to tradesman's Ferrari owners (SS utes).

i believe it is a $70 fine for having the fog lights on during non-foggy conditions in NSW... there are still many try hards having them fog lights on during the day and it is hell annoying at nights.

Living in a foggy part of Melbourne, I disagree. If my fog lights are on they were on for a reason, and that's usually because I've turned them on and haven't turned them off after using them.

I've been pulled over for them a few times, but each time they've waved me on because of where I live and if they don't wave me on I usually talk to them for a while explaining that I leave them on as I've already experienced what happens when another driver didn't see the car we were in nor the lines on the road and drove straight through us.

So, ask me to turn them off? most of the time I'll say no ... end of story.

That's understandable caution after experiencing such an accident but surely you agree there's no need to leave them on when you're well clear of foggy conditions?

In any event, I'm referring more to instances where there was never any fog to begin with.
