Wheels Long Term RX8

Just a quick heads up if you're thumbing through mags at the newsagent.

August Wheels says goodbye to their RX8 long termer with generally favourable comments. Usual whinges about low down torque (and lack thereof), fuel economy and the small boot but all three journos who commented would own one if they could. Interesting given the number of cars they get exposed to.

BTW - same issue includes the 8 in their Design Awards with again favourable comments but the winners may startle you a bit.

I *think* I recall that Mike McCarthy is a proud 8 owner...but I could be wrong. One of their journos bought one (if that's what they really do at car mags

)

Funny you mentioned fuel...

I just did 350KM with a full tank. My wallet finds this shocking.

But this included a 10 minute stint of old Pacific Hwy with some silvia australia members.

Gee was i impressed with the handling of the 8, outgunned all cars at every bend!
