V-Power racing(100 octane question)?

Mazda told me that there was no point using the 100 octane fuel as the ecu cannot recognise it and therefore just burns is as it would 98?? Is this true,or is there a power increase from the 100 octane fuel. Also, would this also mean that you could not put racing fuel in forn track days that is higher than 100 octane?

Sounds about right.Very little[if any]to be gained from a NA Rotary on 100oct.
Unless you have a turbo and the ability to tune it to the higher octane fuel, you'll just be waisting your money.
Cheers

I will tell you a story and you can make your own mind up.

Knightsports came to australia a while back to do ecu tuning. Taka went first with normal VPower 98. Cant remember his exact before figures but it was around 120rwkw, his after was about 125rwkw.

When it was my time, I did my before dyno and pulled 124rwkw. I was running vpower racing. My run was later in the day, it was hotter and more humid.

Mod wise we had at that time about the same thats important on a dyno and thats is basically nothing ... pod filters and intakes.

I am going to another dyno and use V Power racing in April. And see if the tune have significant gain with the V Power racing.

I prob just use V Power racing to dyno, so it won't be scientific anyway
