Not sure about the Nats yet. Katherine is a long way from Goulburn. Hymee should have his twin screw SC there though.

That depends upon whether anyone else is prepared to get off their butt and organise one.

Where in Brizzy is Mazfix ?, I wouldn't mind seeing the car before you head back down to Sydney.

Let me know where and what time you will be there and I may get along for a look.

I don't think that's a stupid question. I'm interested to know what the components are too.

The turbo is "Mazfix spec" using garret and other bitz... Custom Exhaust made up.. front and rear.... A racing beat Revi airbox.....

Mazfix fabricate alot on site. Computer is "Mazfix Spec"..
I think they were adding the 3rd injector today..... Also putting in the gauges...

db,

Do you know how many cars they've fitted this to now?

If it's not a rude question, a ballpark cost figure would be nice.

Would also be nice if Archie or one of his henchmen could get on here and spread a bit more info about the kit (hopefully the FI wars are behind us).

EDIT - Some info available here - http://www.mazfix.com.au/

The strange thing about the MazFix site is that just about all their products have a quoted cost except the RX8 upgrades (e.g. check out their pre-RX8 rotary engine upgrade prices).

Not sure if this is an aberration or they're still finalising prices.

Absent Hymee bringing something to market, I'd like a ballpark figure for some long-range planning (i.e. marital negotiation ).

(FI sounds like more fun than a NA MX5 track car - especially since my intended partner in crime has now left the building... ).

How many Mazfix Turbo's fitted??

I think I am the 5th.
Speaking with Archie today...who stated he is breaking new ground with my car. As he is adding the 3rd injector today......He has put in a huge intercooler, basically every option he's offering I've taken ...and more...
My car has been at Mazfix for near 1 month.

Cost.....well my wife isn't going to be too pleased.... I had enough waiting and searching enough talking about the right FI I just had to do it....

I had a drive in the Mazfix Rx8, met Archie and the lads.. and that was it...
The turbo is $10k then add $heavy duty clutch, $radiator $bigger intercooler, $bigger oil coolers, $flywheel and counterweight, $revi airbox, $boost switch, $turbo timer, $custom front and rear exhaust, $blow off valve /plumbed back into itself, $Gauges x 3, $The extra dyno time for the tuning of the 3rd injector plus all the $labour to fit all the above....

Wait there's more !!!

$They are servicing the car, also $taking it to mazda in Ipswich for some starter motor recall thing, and getting the latest flash for the computer before $final dyno tuning

Think about it....
I am paying for what I'm getting... And I love my car ....!!!

P.S. I also want the best for my children as well..

I got a couple of questions that maybe are better asked of MazFix but what the heck....
1. From the MazFix site "Water cooled double ball bearing turbo with internal wastegate" what is this? isnt this the "blow off valve /plumbed back into itself"
2. Also from the MazFix site "Upgraded injectors".
Whas the difference between this and the 3rd injector? And for that matter, how do they just add a 3rd injector?

Cheers

Andrew
