Transmission and differential oil ??????????

Transmission and differential oil ??????????

Has anyone got or changed their diff/transmision oil if so what oil did you use ????.

Thinking of using royal purple oil???

I'm not in Autralia.. but I have RP gear oil in my 8.

I think it shifts a "little" smoother. hard to tell.

I put it in about 5k miles. I think this was a good idea regardless, to remove the metal shavings in the gear boxes from breakin.

Cool RedLine....

Used Redline for both, forget what the 'diff-stuff' was called, used MT-90 in the tranny.

Don't notice much difference.

The magnetic plugs where heavy with filings, so I suppose it was a good swap.

THANKS GUYS

So it seems worthwhile to change the oil if for nothing else but to get rid of the magnetic fillings and hopefully get smoother gear shift.
