Toyo Trampios

I finally replaced OEM tyres after 52500kms with 235/40/18 Toyo Trampios at a cost of $236 per tyre fitted and balanced. Got them at Tyretech Kingswood. They feel more solid on the road and definately more grippy. I was tossing up between these and Kuhmo's but went for the quieter Toyo.

My experience with Trampio's is that they feel even better after about 500k .... A good choice!

You need to remember your speedo is now overstating your speed with the 235/40's... and your car will do more k's

Does it matter? a less than 1% difference. 1km out of 100km or 100km out of 10000km?

C'mon taka -- we've been through this before

235/40's are out by 2.2%, ie 2.2km every 100km or 220kms every 10,000km (actually, it will become worse as they wear.

245/40s are the closest fit at 1% over

Still... it is still very minor 2.2% :o

200km in every 10000km is very minor in the resale point of view.

Well, most people probably run 50,000k or more before they change cars, which equates to 1,000 additional k's on the car -- minor, but it's still there ... so why not select 245/40s, which are only 1% out

Toyo Trampios

In my situation I use my car as a work car and do about 45km per year so I'm going to have close to 200kms on the car after the 4 year lease anyway. Resale doesn't weigh on my mind in this instance.
