I used Tein SS b4, it can go as low as a finger space between tyre and fender..... Sorry i don't have pics.....

the spring rate on SS is only 5kg/mm front and 4 kg/mm rear.
the recomended drop is 20mm front and 15mm rear. but could go from -8 - -38 front and 20 - -40 rear.

Budi you can use the SS and go as low as legal, which is 100mm ground clearance ;)

100mm ground clearance from the lowest point of your car.... generally it'd be part of the exhaust system

Eric's right (in Victoria at any rate) - that's what I got defected on with the King Spring superlows. Also it's supposed to be fully laden so in the words of the policewoman who did me - "get a couple of your mates to sit in the car when you check it".

oyester 02-23-2007 12:26 AM

thx guys, i guess its safe to use the super street

Winning 8 02-23-2007 12:51 AM

super street is very close to mazdaspeed set up, the only thing different is super street have damper adjustment and ride height adjustment.
spring rate on mazdaspeed is 5kg/mm front and 3.4 kg/mm rear vs 5kg/mm front and 4 kg/mm rear on superstreet.

DrewMan 02-23-2007 05:58 PM

I despise driving in the city...

EZZY 02-23-2007 06:13 PM

sydney has sh!t house city streets (and 95% of other streets in sydney anyway)

oyester 02-23-2007 09:03 PM

I still hasnt install coilovers yet, im using h&r spring but i guess the drop rate is the same as SS coilover? Do you guys think that Tein Flex are able to drop lower than Super Street coilover?

yea true lol

After living with my MazdaSpeed suspension for a while now, which I understand is similar to the SS in terms of spring rate, etc, I think they're fine.

Every now and then on the roads Eric mentions, you wish for something a little less stiff but those thoughts disappear when you get some good road to yourself. The car stays so flat, it's huge fun.

I definitely recommend the upgrade if you like a spirited drive now and again. :)
