My question is whether the unit will be able to put back on with out hitting the frame of the car...

There may not much room for that... finger crossed. My fan controller is much smaller than it just have a finger gap before the frame of the car...

Tell the smelly grub to wait until she gets out of the car!

I hate people who smoke in cars...even their own car!

Actually, I hate the habit full stop.

No no cromax - the condom holder is the one on the lower dash right of the steering wheel...

Have you noticed that the carpet wears in one spot on the drivers side because of your heel?

Drew you're patience (and bravery) have paid off. You now have a cutting edge tool which is discreetly placed in an ideal location. Your edfc will always be in view when you want it, and with the cover closed looks sweet.

Did you know in advance that the edfc would fit and not hit the back end of the dash?

Others would have considered mounting it in the glove box or under the dash, but in my opinion you have it just right.

I also ask the question, why do we have ash trays these days? I don't smoke (reformed), and I won't allow people who have the ability to smoke in any of my cars either. You've done well, it looks nice, fits perfectly and I see no future issues with it being in that location. Good on you.

Thanks sarge!

I do remember seeing a pic somewhere of a guy who put it in the same place but I havent been able to find it!

Quite a few ppl have been putting it in the empty void on the stereo where the piano black faceplate is.

Somebody even had the guts to put it in the head liner above the sunglasses case!

Overall i"m very happy with the install and once I get the motors hooked up it will be all good!

not to mention if you accidentally drop your cigarette in the car, and light up the inside of the car!

I think its the whole learning to drive all over again. People learn to drive with one hand on a *** and one had on the wheel they get used to driving like that.

It bcomes second nature but mobile phones are different because it requires more brain power to use! I'm guilty of that offence!
