Tasmania Cruise
Possible Tasmania Cruise around the 11th May from melbourne. Details as follows:
Melbourne/Devonport - Thursday 11 May 8.00pm
Arrive Devonport at 7.00am on Friday 12 May
Breakfast in Devonport. Drive to Hobart via Queenstown - 470km approx
Overnight in Hobart - Caravan Park Cabins or similar (Big 4)
Drive to Launceston via Coles Bay, Swansea & St Helens - 460km approx
Overnight in Launceston - Caravan Park cabins or similar
Final day - drive to Devonport in afternoon via Deloraine - 110km approx
Devonport/Melbourne - Sunday 14th May 8.00pm
Arrive Melbourne at 7.00am on Monday 15th May - all set for work...
Prices are based on the lowest available fare for a 2 berth cabin since there is not much difference between 3/4 berth fares and a good night sleep both ways is probably ideal for a quick trip like this.
1 Car/share cabin on ship/share accommodation - $445.00 per person
1 car/2 people/share throughout - $385.00 per person
1 car/single accommodation throughout - $770.00 per person
Weather wise, average temps are H-17/L-9 and rainfall is higher in the south west and although these dates are in the last month of autumn, it's still a nice time...
I think ideally - a minimum of 6 (sharing 2 to a cabin) would make this a worthwhile trip....
Any interest, post a response, we have 3 interested from the .au site.....
