Sydney heat = creaking steering wheel
My steering wheel has developed an intermittent but annoying creak in the last few days (parking in 35+ degrees heat (celsius)) Doesn't occur all the time but is a bit irritating. Anyone have anything similar or suggest a cure?

I have had the same issue for about 4 months. So far I have taken the car back 3 times (the last time was yesterday) My problem seems to be triggered more by cold weather than hot.
it has not creaked since yesterday but if it does I will keep taking it back until they fix it. My motto is I will annoy them more than they can stand until they fix it.

It is something from within the car that you can hear when going around corners. It sounds like it is from within the steering column. On a cold morning especially it gets quite loud.

The answer to that unfortunately is bugger all. They have tightened up suspension mounts but not a lot else. I suspect they need to replace the whole steering column but do not like the idea of the expense.
This morning it started to creak again...........grh.......
