Cool... although there is not enough headroom for me already. So this option is out Thanks for the head up Gomez

What do you think of the new suspension system?

At this point the new suspension is only available on the Shinka, apparently. The sunroof is available on ALL Leather Packs.

The upgraded suspension and cross member are the only parts of the Shinka package that really appeal to me....I suppose they will filter down to all new RX-8's eventually.

Gomez.

according to the mazda australia website it is a limited luxury edition!

does that mean that the retuned dampers are softer?
perhaps the updated suspension mounts are better dampened not stiffened?
i wonder??? i mean it is beige leather for gawds sake!! hardly a seriously
sporty colour.

Another bit of info to flog a dead horse.....
Evo magazines website has a newsflash that mazda have `confirmed' that
there will be a more powerfull motor for the mps rx8 and the rx7.
It appears that that is three confirmations in one go. But it doesn't state
who released the info and in fact anything else other than what i just typed.
oh well.

my better half is going to spew about the sunroof... better not mention it!

She was adamant she wanted one, and Mazda Oz said no way would they ever offer it due to crash strength concerns in side impacts...

8 months later they have. The bastards....

still it's only 2 and a little bit years til we get rid of it and get an Elise or an M3- can't decide which ATM!..

(We're only short people so headroom isn't a big issue.. That said I have NFI how anyone drives one whilst wearing a helmet _ I know I wouldn't fit and I'm 5 foot 9)

Rowds,

I am 6'4" and just fit in wearing a helmut, it takes skill to get in and a slightly reclined seat to drive, however it is all possible, no smoke or mirrors needed.

Gibbo if the sunroof is wide enough and at the right place you could have open the sunroof open and stick your head out :D

hehe.. you should try to get over the intrusion bars into my rally car with a helmet on.. my 600 buck Arai has the scars to prove it! .. Somehow my nav/ g/f manages it without bashing hers every time.. but she always was the co ordinated one! A mate of mine as a series 4/5 RX-7 rally car, and seriously you'd have to be gymnast to get in....

my big issue is that I sit very upright and quite close to the wheel when I drive so my head is really close to the headlining as it is. If seat has any rake on it at all I feel really out of control!
