Stolen RX8 on Goldcoast .

Todays Goldcoast Bulletin .20-1-2005

Brazen thieves with an eye for sporty wheels made off with more than $160,000 worth of used sport cars from a Southport dealer.

The crooks gained access to the James Frizelle Automotives office on Nind Street, between 10pm on Tuesday and 1:30am yesterday.

They took two Subaru WRX Impreza sport cars, a Mazda RX8 coupe and a Holden Commodore Ute.
The offenders used the black Mazda RX8 as a battering ram to get through the gates.

Either an insurance job or a well organized gang of thieves local or from interstate, they picked the busy Tourist season to strike .

I am going to be more wary of people checking out my ride .

cheers

Well we can assume they nicked the keys off the office keyboard, so we can chalk this one up as a theft with keys, not a successful hotwire job.

Once the word gets out on how good the RX8 IS AMONGST THE CAR thieves they are not going to stop at one car .

Iwill be taking extra precaution on my ride , i am always vigilant of being followed home at night and mostly change my route home if i feel i am being followed .

cheers

Its Mr Gotti and Mr Soprano i keep an eye out for

Having lived in Chile (South America )as a child you quickly learn to be vigilant.

You should be okay L&L, the only blokes interested in stealing yellow RX8's normally live here in Bankstown in Sydney. LOL :D

dbb true true..

Lets not forget the two that got stolen from Rockdale mazda last year.

They only used the RX8 to get through the place they did not actually want it. There list prob stated 2x WRX 1x Holder Ute. :D

According to this week's Northside local free rag, a black RX-8 stolen from the Gold Coast was found on Racecourse Rd at Clayfield.

There was no mention of its state - but I can't see someone dumping a stripped RX-8 on busy Racecourse Rd when there are plenty of industrial areas nearby that wouldn't see any traffic.
