I think it is informative although it is really are selling the Meguire products . But anyhow some of the products are quite good and worth looking into. I have tried the Quik Clay and detailing spray and I love them. The hard wax is not as good as I thought so I passed the cost to my dad :p . I learn a bit with preparation which most of us tend to ignore. :o

I've used Meguiars ever since '97 when my Civic used to do the show circuit.

I firmly believe that they are the best commercially available products readily available on the market.

I haven't washed my car for a week, but just ask any of the guys at the Sydney cruise today and they will confirm how clean and shiny my 8 is.

 

I use Gold class wax on my other cars as it is harder wax and they last longer, and I don't wash those car as often.

But I use softer wax on my 8 since I wash it a lot and detail it every month. So it will be easier for me to get the dirt from the paint surface = spent less time each wax.

I love Meguire and Auto GlyM. And yes it is hard to get out of your routine

 

I use Gold Class Car Wash and Conditioner (no kidding) on my 8 and wax it with Gold Class Wax.

Both products seem to compliment each other quite well, but then again, it could have something to do with the frequency of usage.

I tried the clay bar and it left scratches
**** product because they dont package it properly! the clay drys in the shop and even if you cut the dry bits off you can have little hard scratchy lumps left in the clay. it seems to be a synthetic clay as water dosn't seem to rehydrate it; nether will the quick detailer spray.
I have changed to autoglym and reckon I get a better shine.

 

Oh... was it dry? Mine was ok and I am keeping it in a Glad sandwitch bag. Yes if it is dry then it will be useless. There are many clays you can buy that does the same job. But I think clay can remove the lumpy bit on the paint better than a tar remover. But if you rub hard enough with the tar remover you will get them off too.

Yes I like AutoGlym product very much. I just found the bumper care which is perfect for the rear plastic bits.
