RX8 Trade in Values
Hi to all,
Has anyone recently traded their RX8? I'm thinking of getting a Chrysler 300C and was a little shocked at the valuation I got for my pristine 2004 RX8 with leather (12,000kms).
Interested to hear of anyone elses experiences?
Thanks,
Deano.

Wholesale value on a 2k4 RX8 leather pack manual is from $40-$43K.
I doubt Chrysler would be too willing to negotiate too much on the 300C, so therefore they would only pay you wholesale value on your trade.

I've always been disappointed with trade-in offers.
Just sell it privately. A tad more hassle but worth it if you want to realise the true value of the car.

I was looking for $45k, they eventually offered $44k which I told them to keep. The dealer admitted to me he had a buyer for the vehicle and wanted it that day!
Its amazing how they are selling another used one that actually looks second hand for $52k yet mine which could pass as an ex demo they don't want to give a decent price for.
I dropped it off at the Mazda dealer today and told them not to return it until all the squeakes and rattles were gone. If they can fix all the mystery noises in the cabin, get it starting properly on a regular basis and try to do something about the dismal fuel economy I am receiving I'll almost be happy to keep it.
Even with all the little frustrating problems I still walk past it and think "geez that is a nice car"
There is a new Alfa Romeo out next year, that looks the goods so far. Gone off the 300C - its a bit too big and I know I'll fully get the customising bug if I buy one. Been there done that.
Hymee, I don't think the grill added any value! It has given me good peace of mind though so in my opinion very worthwhile.
