I know some of you want to see this thread die, however I have to mention the 8 I saw on Tuesday. I was on the Cumberland Hwy heading towards whetherill park andpassed another yellow RX-8, however this 8 had a GT style wing that was like 2 foot tall. It was un beleivable, I have never seen any thing like it. It was very ricey.

Thought I would mention it.

 

I saw a yellow with mazspeed bodykit in Five Dock on Monday.. Noticed the owner across the road just looking at his pride and joy

 

I love the mazdaspeed bodykit. After Hymee's Supercharger that could very well be the next item saved for. I just would not wish to do it until the 8 had the acceleration to match the looks of that kit.

 

yeah gibbo, i saw the same one in parramattaon monday... in a car park, nicely kitted like yours, and with the gt wing.

 

I've seen friggin heaps on the road today. At one stage I had one in front of my and one behind me. Even a yellow one game enough to get out

Yea the yellow owner was brave......considering that yellow is a collectors item now that it is no longer manufactured and all......

i was reading this thread from page 1 and thught one of the red cars was me until i realised it was in 2003 when i just got my learners.

why did you buy it then?

its cheaper than a 350z and an s2000, looks good, and may not have the punch of either of them (the s2000 puts out almost the same as the rx8 but I prefer the feeling that im taking off in a jet as the revs climb into the 9's VS the kick in the *** VTEC gives you)

oh and it doesnt fall under P plate restrictions.

Hopefully the powers that be continue to be bone headed about it all and fail to put the RX8 in the list. That way the car will continue to be popular (resale value wise) as is seen with the DC2 integras.

If your 17 got a bit of money you don't have much choice these days.

I always see a copper red RX-8 turn right into Banksia Street from Burke Road, around the same time I go to work. Who is that lazy *** then haha :D?

 

I pulled up next to one at the lights. Titanium identical to mine. At first I thought I was looking at my own reflection in a shop window but the driver looked better than me.
