Rx8 Center Console ???

Just wondering how many members were aware or were made aware by the dealers of of the secret compartment in the center consle that has the extra 12 volt power/ phone outlet charger / storage area .

Well if you push your center console all the way back then lift it towards the left handside seat , you will find this secret compartment , it has come in handy to hide your treasures , whatever they may be .

Grass
condoms
little black book
money
phone
glasses
silencer for your berretta .

Very handy secret compartment what are you guys using it for ???

cheers
michael

Must admit I didn't think it was that much of a secret....I found it the first time I sat in the car in the showroom!

I have the phone charger cord plugged in to the aux 12V socket and you will find there is a small relief cutout into the fwd compartment which allows the cord to feed thru so the phone can sit by your side!

Gomez.

Have used it so much that the leading edge flanges of the sliding lid have broken off ... and have seen the same on a number of other 8's. Didn't know this was a 'secret'

I was not shown by the dealer , i stumbled upon it after 3 months of having my car .

I recently pointed this out to one of the salesmen at the dealership , he looked dumfounded and said wow .

yeah, this extra socket is so handy to power up the gadgets and goodies.
I am using it to power up my bluetooth GPS module and it sits nicely with outlet for a cord towards the drink holes =D kekeke

Cheers,
Hymee.

Having the cruise control on is about as boring as driving an Automatic , no thanks sticking to the same speed limit for to long is like , not my scene .

But i dont condone speeding or road racing anything over 200km can be dangerous he he he (that should keep Gomez off my back and you happy )j/k

cheers

Its never been a secret to me ...

I found it on day 1, as well as , amougst other things, all the protective packaging type crap that the dealer left in all the hard to get at nooks and crannies of the car ... but then some would say I'm into too much detail....

I am however looking for the secret "enable fuel economy switch" and the "remove the giant grin off my face" sensor which is faulty...

Rob

PS Cant help but repreat something from the linked thread ... I'm still laughing!!

.....................................

I'll let you in on another secret... if you open the front doors, there are a pair of doors in the back as well but they open the opposite direction than most cars...

But don't tell ANYONE ELSE... it's a secret compartment to hold extra PEOPLE!!!
