Well, as at the end of June there were 27 8's in Canberra.

But hang on taka -- you are near Sandown, Phillip Island, not to mention Calder and Albert Park -- all of which must be closer to you than Wakefield is to me. *grin*

Yes that is true... Sandown is a bloody good track and it is only 20 mins from where I live.

Seen rx8club.co.uk's clip in Wakefield and I think it is a perfect track for testing the mod in the 8. Twisty circult with one medium size straight, rather than having a yawn in the back straight of Sandown

Hey I just wonder if it is worth going? It is $295 afterall and i can do so much with this money or even another track day.

Also, Victorain drive day is on Sunday and more RX-8 will turn up... I have not decided

Remind everyone that:

1. You have up to this weekend to reply. I have not done it yet or I may not intend too. $295 is still too much. I want some confirmation of people going first. If I know someone going then it will be more fun, otherwise....

2. Other state have it before us. It is not just Victorian event!!

Convince me one way or the other. Sounds like the Brisbane boys are keen to go the track only. Me too. I will see what the Victorians are planning to do.

I'm waiting to see the info. I'm pretty sure I want to go. That price is comparable to the Murcott performance driving general public course, but one that is specifically on how to drive the RX-8 is even better. I got a call from Mazda last week to say they'd sent the information out, but having spent the last week in Sydney I'll get a chance to see any mail tonight.

It is a standard price indeed. It is special if they make it RX-8 specific.

If you go, I will go. I just hate not knowing anyone there.

I had a look at the information, not much different to your original description. It does sound like a standard Murcott course that has been modified with specific RX-8 information and techniques, especially the DSC session. I'm going to send my form in tomorrow and definitely go. It's going into my calander

Like AMG I rang MA to ask about the Adelaide venue change. They didn't know anything about the venue other than what the Murcott's people had told them, but as with AMG said that cost versus numbers was the factor. They supposedly have a few registrations for Adelaide, but indicated that there were many (I think in the order of 20 from memory) registrations for the Victorian day.

All up I think there is enough in the program to justify spending my hard-earned zorkmids, so I'll see the Adelaide folks (both of us :-) on the day.

Noddy, you might have the track to your self. I am the other in both of us, and I don't think I'll be doing it.

The guy from MA said they were running the day with whatever numbers they got - I don't mind a day of private Murcott attention - even if it is at AIR.

But anyways, I understood they had a couple of actual registrations for the day rather than registrations of interest.

Hey guys we are all set for the drive day?

For people in Melbourne there is a meet up plan prior... if you want.
