Rotor Scraping Sound?

Rotor Scraping Sound?
Has anyone else experienced this?
A couple of times just before shutting the car off I have heard a sound like the rotors are scraping the side of the housing. It is kind of a metal on metal sound! It happened last night. This morning when I started the car up I could still hear it a little but after a few minutes it was gone again - as usual.
The only explanation I can think of is that it is some deposits that accumulate on the engine which are then flushed out. Any ideas?
