Riced out RX-8 model

I found this die cast RX-8 model in "Toys 'r us" today while I was out shopping. It was only $24.95 so I had to buy it! It is die cast metal and 1:24 scale. Made by Jada toys. They have a whole line of other jap imports tricked out in a similar fashion. Good to see that the RX-8 has come of age! Now it sits next to my computer when ever I am on the forum!

Suitable for ages 8+ :D

$24.95 is cheap............... I've seen them selling for anything up to $59.95.

Hmm, I might get one as a dash ornament.........

That's one huge wing. Maybe you'll need something like that with a Hymee SC on the donk?

Hey do they have it in Blue?

The Jada Toys site has only Black and Grey in the "Import Racer" 1:24 models - see:

http://www.jadatoys.com/importracer124_2.html

But in the 1:18 models they have 3 colours - Blue, Silver and something that may be Grey (Titanium?) see:

http://www.jadatoys.com/importracer118_2.html

I want a Blue one!! Anyone know where they are available in Aus??

Tonym.

No, no, Hymee - you have to buy one and "INSURE IT", crunch it within 2 years, and the insurance compamy buys you a new one :D

Got mine at ToysRus today and they also have the 1:18 Jada toys "Import Racers" for RX7, 240SX and 350Z but no RX8 although it is in the Jaa toys catalog. They said that they will probably get a new shipment "sometime around June", so we'll have to look out then.

Ezzy's gas powered version would have an estimated speed of around 70kph so we are talking 700kph (scale speed ).... :D

I had never seen these before either until I went to the car show here in D.C. a couple weeks ago... but mine is White! Also, got a smaller yellow 8 that you pull back and it goes, it's pretty cool! It's right hand drive and in stock form.
