Ok Guys,

It looks like we are going to have a great day out there.
The confirmed drivers so far are:
  • RX8 - Smooth!
  • SKC
  • Drag Toys
  • Mystery forum member
The possible drivers so far are:
  • Hymee
  • Mystery forum member

As you can see we may get up to 6 RX-8s out on the track together. I can't wait!

I look forward to meeting at the BP at 10.30am on Saturday. If someone cannot make it please let me know so we do not wait for no reason.

Cheers

Steve

Take the Goodna exit off the Ipswich motorway - the BP is on a side street to the motorway. If you wait to until you see it, you'll probably miss the exit.

You've got me feeling bad now. Here is the Whereis map for the BP Goodna.
I hope this resolves any confusion.

Good stuff Smoothy.

It is a pity that neither the BP "locations" site, nor the WhereIs site know where to accurately place the symbol, as they cannot resolve the address.

Not trying to upstage you Smoothy, but here is a Hymee Enhanced map, where I pasted a more accurate location for the actual BP Express Service Station in question. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I work with mapping software, and love to find faults, especially with the competition

Public forum... Hmmm, no one here We wouldn't take out cars on the track. :o

Seriously, 4 RX-8s out there. Only one still had the stock exhaust, a black one. The other 3 (2 x Red, 1 x Black) all had an exhaust from the house of Hymee.

Awsome day. Far too many cars out. We used to say 10 groups was too much. Today it it went up to at least group 16. All the pit bays were full, but some nice fellas from Ausrotary let the 8's double up with them. A while ago they split the sprints into level 1 and level 2. Now they look like they might offer level 1 on more days, even Wednesday afternoons.

Some ppl took some videos. Keep an eye out.

Cheers,
Hymee.

I'm not one to brag. If you look hard enough you might find it.

I'm more inclined to post more "personal" information on the private members area on the .au RX-8 club/forum.

Cheers,
Hymee.

PS - This is an interesting irony. Lets say, hypothectically, I publicly said on the forum I drove an RX-8 on the track, and my private identity was known to Mazda. And then I were to get on a public forum and say how incredibly impressed I was with the car on that circuit. Being able to compare it to an SS Commodore that put down 235kW (300+HP) AT THE WHEELS. How I hypothtically drove the RX-8 to the track, and without any special preperation whatsoever, was able to do a 3 second better time than the said Commodore with Street tyres on. How the brakes did not give up to goat like the Commodores do after 2 or 3 laps. How I didn't have to worry about the power-steering pump shitting itself / boiling over like 2 previous Commodored and requiring the fitment of a cooler. How I hypothecitally cut a better time than a 13B turbo'ed Bullet Roadster (MX-5) on semi-comps. Imaging the irony if I publicly sung the praises of a brilliant product from Mazda, then find out a few days later that "Your warranty is void due to racing use"?

Hmmm.... An interesting hypothetical.

PS - There will be some hypothectical vidoes appearing shortly.
PPS - 1 Sports Pack (Cloth), 3 x Leather Packs. We need the 3 leather pack drivers to post their hypothetical times for comparison.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Sam,

Thanks for making the RX-8 guys welcome. It was really a nice guesture to offer to double up the pit bays to accomodate the RX-8's. I have never been to the sprints when there was so many cars. I remember when we used to think it was too busy a day when there were 10 groups. Yesterday there were at least 16.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Taka

I can tell you that the Black RX8 you see has a Hymee exhaust on.

There were also several reports that it was also spitting out flames :D going into corners....this was the first official and mass sighting of this occurance.

Someone said they saw them from mine as well! Yee-haa!

Hymee.
