I got out of my last speeding offence by getting out of the car and striking up a conversation with the officer while his partner went back to the car and checked my licsence and rego. After chatting for a few minutes, he realised I was a good bloke and not a hoon and went over to the car and convinced his partner to let me off with a warning. I wasn't being confrontational, just bluffing that I had nothing to hide. And yes, I was out doing some street testing of my Hymee exhaust at the time! Whatever works for you I guess.

Thanks for the tip though. If I ever get done in Sydney, I think I'll stay in the car!

I get out of the car and meet them at the boot with license in hand, unless its raining and then I have made them knock twice on the window before I wound it down!! He was getting drenched and I only put the window down enough to get the liscence out to him! But I have found the times that I have got out of the car and been courteous and co-operative with them I have had fines reduced or just been given a warning!

You just gotta be careful about how you get out of the car... They probably prepare for the worst...

12 point in 3 years is very easy.

It was the problem not reading any news for the Monash freeway, everyone knew there were permanent camera excpet me. I was still in my Integra and collected 6 speeding fines in 5 weeks from 10-15kmh over.

I got my wife to take a few points from me and was on 9 points for 2 years. But last time I was in Great Ocean Road one cop pick me up when I was 50-100m from a 100kmh sign doing 85 on 70 zone... bastard
