power with a/c on

Sounds crazy, but subjectively I consistently feel that mid range torque/ acceleration feels stronger when running the air cond.
Any others with this phenomenon.
Could it be that that a/f maps are different in a/c mode to compensate for hot weather performance?
Very strange???

Yes it is a little known fact that the air conditioner also acts as an intercooler engine ;-)

No, it's just your imagination. :D Actually, the AC gets cut-off when you accelerate above 65% throttle.

Here's a video to the question you're asking. I'll keep the video up for a little while.

Right-Click this link and then save to Hard Drive

Yep. So you are feeling a mid-range punch, but it's because your initial throttle response lags behind the A/C compressor.

Maybe the air is blowing rearward to create a propeller effect... oh I forgot about the rear windshield blocking the gusty A/C wind?!

Pappy sent me a copy a few months ago. It's worth checking out.
