The box in front of the police camera car I think is the fuse/battery box - and it is usually green. When you spot it more carefully there should be a camera on the dash board (passenger side) or in front on the lawn. This is what they are in Victoria, and I heard somewhere that they work up to 200m. Laser is more - up to 1km in clear ground (like country highway).

up to a 1 km is the police laser gun though - they have to chase you for that.
For speed camera you will never know,... unless you have the radar detector, or see the camera yourself.
I just found out they outlawed radar detector in Hong Kong, damn - I was going to get one there :o

I bit off topic.
I use AutoGlym which is from Autobarn here (your bro can get them for you). They have 30+ products to clean a car :D
I particularly like their tar remover and paint renovator which are liquid not cream, resin polish and the extra gloss protector on top afterthat. Bumper care is excellent as it is gel , and it get rid of wax on the plastics and polish it like the half gloss armourall.
I also use Meguire to clean and prepare - their clay to remove dirt and their spray on detailer is great. I use their microfiber cloth too. The scratch X remove most swirls and if that does not work then I use their "cut and polish" which are sold in light, medium and deep cut.
Mostly importantly is to use a rotary polisher. I use a 10" but it is too big, I wish I have a smaller one. They cost only $50 but they are the best.
