Pics of my Drag Racing Day

Just incase some of you haven't seen these pics and might be interested.

I ran a best time of 15.1

The guy from Queensland Street car took some pics of this burnout and wanted to put them in the lastest copy of the mag which was due out today.

The Mazdaspeed kit looks great, makes it look even meaner. Have you done anything to it besides the kit?
I wish we had an easily accessible track up here (Cairns), besides the gokart track of course, although the '8 handles similarly .

I have only dress up bits at the moment, the mazdaspeed kit, mirrors, side skirt, wing, front. RMagic Eye Lids, and the IPT carbonfibre engine cover that looks real neat.

A lot of smoke at take off...did the old car beat you at the start or did he have head start due to a handicap start.

Nice win

Nope left the tyres, I prefer to get a street equilivant time in a car I drive on the street.

I was launching around 5g, bit of wheel spin but it got off the line fairly nicely. Then flat changed gears at 9g.

I was needing to change 4th on the finish, but just drove it on redline to make the last 20metres, as the gear change resulted in slightly lower times when I didn't just drive it over.

The kit cost around $7500 by the time I paid import duties and shipping.
So it is not a cheap kit but the quality is second to none.
I would recommend it over a fibreglass kit anyday.
