I can't see the first 4 attachments nor the flywheel/clutch one.
Gives me an error after clicking them.

The turbo and airgun show up fine.

Nope, still nothing. They show up as a box with red x's now.

I've been following your thread for awhile.
I may go custom turbo in the future. My Greddy turbo is only getting me 220whp now. I'm waiting for my Interceptor EMS to arrive and hopefully get more hp. I don't know how long it'll last once I'm at 10-12psi all the time.

Did you say earlier you were mounting the turbo straight to the exhaust ports?

Cheers,
Hymee.

[QUOTE=We are mounting it direclty to the exhaust ports to eliminate lag ..the manifold and turbo is the same weight as the OEM manifold alone !!( light stuff )

Thanks for the clarifaction. So what is new/different about mounting a turbo direct onto the exhaust.manifold, and how does that eliminate lag?

Cheers,
Hymee.

The turbo itself is approx 4in from the exhaust port..we designed the manifold that way ....so instant spooling ..some turbo kits advertised are mounted high up in the engine bay causing long exhaust runners and longer spool rates....

the turbo is moderately sized but has large wheels , and with these bearings SHOULD spool up Greddy Style ..super quick ( their turbo is much smaller AND no ball bearings..)

Hey just thought of something..
1. your blower alone is about as heavy as my entire kit
and 2. just your management alone cost more than what it cost me to build my entire kit .....he he :p

Luv ya long time

what about exhaust velocity? restricted port runners, sharp bends, changes in pipe diameter all affect exhaust velocity.

Good point

If you have a look at the pikkies of the manifold you will see smoothe flowing bends ,which will aid air speed ...the Greddy manif has insanely sharp bends.. And the fact that it is so close to the engine block will again help get exhaust air out. The pipe diameter is constant throughout the manifold ..thus maintaining airspeed

We will not know anything concrete until we get her on the dyno....remember this project is not even a week old.....patience grasshopper

B..... Cool

Its time to make the adjustments to the compressor housing ...is proving to be quite a toil.
We need to make the necsesary bends from the outlet but dont want to restrict flow

should take most of the day .....spewin......

Also making a custom exhaust ....also a bloody pain ...Cant get anyone to supply me with the exhaust I need!!

Ciao

If ( should say when )Im there in October you can take it for a spin ....and anyone else who wants to experience a thrusted 8. :D

Timbo ,weve got a few options with management,,it most probably will be a Chip Torque option as Mazda Aus. has already spent the money and time ironing out the bugs ,,,,,it comes with a 2 stage ,boost controller ,,,can you believe that..

Mega Cool ...stay tuned

Dave
