Origin of creaking sound?
I've noticed at low speeds (and even getting out of the vehicle when stationary) a creaking sound, seemingly from the passenger side rear. Any ideas on what might be causing this?
I've learnt that rattles and buzzes don't always come from where you think they are. I tracked down my last cabin rattle to the hand grip on the inside of the boot lid. A bit of Kwik Grip contact cement fixed that. The guys at Grand Prix Mazda fixed the other ones, so the car is rattle and buzz (but not creak) free.

Labrat, at your age, it's probably you creaking...
It does sound like it could be a suspension creak though. Two things that might be worth trying are:
a) Jacking the suspect corner up and letting the wheel hang down to its full length of travel, and then letting it down again (I've occasionally had that remove odd creaks and squeaks, although not necessarily permanently).
b) Removing the suspect wheel, and then reseating and re-tightening it. Various owners had creak/clicking problems at the front that were solved that way (including mine, which only needed re-seating. Some needed a bit of cleaning up too).
These wouldn't take long, and would be done at the same time anyway, so it might be worth a try.
You could also try rocking the car gently up and down while stationary, from various angles, to see if you can reproduce the noise.
Good luck, creaks and squeaks are a pest.

I'm getting that everytime I climb the mountain-like kerb on to my driveway...usually when the car has gone higher on its front left wheel. Sounds like interior panels but then, im just guessing.
