Okada project + HKS twin amp anyone ?

as we all know now the coils on our car is a bit sus... might as well go all out ? .....anyone interested... group buy by any chance.. express your interest here please..we are talking about

1. Okada project coils (around 800 ish aud ?)
2. HKS twin amp which includes the harness and wires.. so u dont need to upgrade them to something else such as MS or RE amemiya... (600 ish)

OR if ppl dont like that okada project idea.. how about just the twin amp.. and buy urself a new set of OEM coils AND spark plugs from onlinemazda parts...

so.. all up around 1500... haha.. yeh i know its a lot.. but.. think about it.. this is how to extract n/a power..every drop of it.. i understand there are better bang for ur bux such as flywheel.. but since the coils on OEM are proven to be potential danger... think think ! like buying a HKS boost controller around 800, or a decent exhaust for like 1k.. although u extract much more power out of the boost controller on turbo cars.. but u cant compare n/a and turbo and how to extract power...

Official word from Okada is (and this is USD):

"The part number of Plasma Direct coils for RX8 is PD4003001R, and the price
is $735.00 (set of 4 coils)."

You will need to add shipping on top. To rich for me!

There is little benefit for the stock engine. The plasma ignition aims to reduce misfiring and not become critical unless it is highly tuned. Even so, most of the high tune NA RENESIS does not have that and only R Magic sells them. The $1000 can be spend in something else.

I wasnt looking into them for performance gains, more for reliability. Mind you if you are considering FI then it cant hurt

I don't think they last forever either mate.

Same as most Japanese stuff. You know average Japanese change their cars every 3 years? Not many "nuts" like the FD drivers in Japan.
