New RX8 Arriving This Week - Recommended Insurer?

Not to hijack this thread, but which insurers will also cover you for 'track days' and the like? I'd like to take my car onto the track at some stage (once I find out how/where to do it!) and my current insurerer, western QBE, won't do it. I've heard Allianz is pretty good?

They insure for market value NOT agreed value, this means if you write your car off 99% of the time you will be left with a hefty payout figure ($10,000 +) on your finance. Additionally the market value is less luxury car tax, stamp duty, registration and any other costs that are NOT part of the actual price of the physical vehicle itself.
Yes the insurance is cheap, however if you have a large claim in the event of a write off, keep in mind that you will be substantially out of pocket.

Thats correct. The 1 thing i dont like about justcar is that its under market value, and they seem to tip the figure bit lower then the norm. When my car got re-insured this year, I got quote from another company and the market value they were going to insure it under was higher then that of wat justcar stated on my form...... well rang em up and they bumped my market figure up a bit and bit more then wat the other company was offering. Excess is still less then wat I was told at the other insurance.
The other thing with justcar is that doesnt it mainly offer insurance to people with modded cars? so thats sort of a catch isnt it? they offer lower premiums to get people with modded cars to go with em. Also I believe since the target market would be the under 25s, id like to think the premiums are a bit better priced. The other insurance company quoted me $2000 rating 2, and I hadnt even told them my mods, they ask me would u like to continue? Im like but i havent told u my mods, they say well u will continue and tell us. yer rite.. then my premium will be $3000.
I figure 2 more years until i can sift to another insurance company.
But even tho i am rating 1 wit justcar, its not a rating 1 protection. Not like AAMI offers rating 1 for life. I had to pay $35 for the protection. Which just means that if i claim this yr my rating wont drop next year. All my mods are covered also.

I heard Justcars treat claims badly.
I only had dealing with AAMI for cliams and they are not good repairs. Talking colour matching a white car and they could not do it and insist it is the same colour; and I have to sell the car with a different colour at the rear bumper. Lucky the buyer did not notice :p

Everyone has a bad insurer story. If you believed 'em all you'd be left with no-one to insure with.
Let's face it, insurer's are in it to make money off you, not look after your best interests.
It's up to you to do the research on the best policy options for you and then pick the premium you can best stomach. Everything after that is details that will vary depending on individual branches and claims personnel.
I've found there is no substitute for taking an active interest in any claim you lodge and keeping them up to the mark on the repair outcome by complaining loudly should the work be sub-standard. Of course, it helps once you get a bit older (there's got to be something good about it!) as you get treated a bit more seriously.

Its so sleek inside, and outside.
The screech of the intakes makes the car sound so awesome.
The power range is unbelievable, from the couple of times I've allowed it over 3krpm.
