New RX-8 turbo "spotted"
New RX-8 turbo "spotted"
A keen rotorhead caught this black Rx-8 on the streets of Sydney today. The bonnet vents caught his eye & after peeking into the grill area & spotting an intercooler, the driver fessed up about the blower under the bonnet. It also featured plenty of Mazdaspeed parts such as nose, spoiler etc.
Seems mazda Australia are playing again after the red one was de-commisioned. White wheels from the red RX-8 have been re-used here & apologies for the lack of quality, its from a phone cam

You heard it here first....................

What's decommissioned?
Is that like they took it away, no one saw another glimpse,
possibly repainted in their little workshop to black? Mayyybbbeeee
And bonnet vents are straight from car mate i tell ya!
But i must say, Black is surely the right choice!
Stealth! Turbo!!

Not some ****-ant thing that is chosen cause it fits between the engine and the chassis rail
.
Cheers,
Hymee.

Confirming DMRH's thoughts, I understand this is one of Horsley's mules.
Unfortunately, getting an 'official' Mazda sanctioned SP turbo version is very much a third order priority right now (and for at least the next six months) as MA launches the 6 MPS and the new MX-5, both of which they will want to see win accolades
