New member to the club

hi guys & girls,

i just like to intro myself to this forum. Name is Paul and from Syndey, im proud to be a 2nd owner of this RX8. I have had the car for a week now and im loving the way the car is and how it drives. what can i say, im a very happy new rx8 owner.

Car came with HEAPS of Mazda factory options as a great bonus.

I am now in the market for some wheels and suspension. i have been doing some reseach on this forum and seem to see most go for a 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear. only thing is can anyone tell me the best and fattest offset i can get as i would love to have the car look fat and tuff. (car will be lowered bout 1.5 inches and hope not to lip the guards unless i have to for the fat look)

rims i am learning to are the Volk gram lights 57F Pro with a noble gold centre...or any other suggestions u guys think would be a bonus too

Also, is there any other mazda rx8 australian forums i can register or is this it?

here are some pics of the car the way i bought it...standard trim with factory options

thanks guys and your input is greatly appreciated.

are you sure you want to go staggered?

it produces a bit of understeer and on top of that you wont be able to rotate the tyres.

what about a 19 x 8.5 all round?

yeah i have made the choice to go staggered size as i just loves the way it looks, and i also have read the it changes the characteristics of the car to understeer more...which i actually like

yes, only downside is you cant rotate the tyres.

Welcome Snypes.
I'm in the Fairfield City area too, so if you see my white baby around say hi.

Nice extras - I have the same external options as you except for spoiler and fuel lid.

If my eyes are correct: front air dam, side skirts, rear skirts, front/rear chrome crests, b-pillar garnish, fender strakes.

...oh and scuff plates too!

Welcome Snypes.

I'd also think twice before you go staggered but it's up to you.

Hopefully see you on a cruise sometime.
