Miss8 I hope you manage to get your coil sorted before the day.
If you get stuck and need a coil to borrow, just let me know as I have a spare set.

Hope everyone is looking out for RX8 owners that might be keen on our Mystery tour.

Regards

Rotaman
Replaced 2 coils at $150 each :/ But thanks for the offer Rotaman. I also have a spare now just incase.

Welcome to the club ryandaum, those mags look pretty swish on your 8. I also have probs with my CEL due to the cat sensor.

Looking forward to the tour... not far away now!

Cheers Miss8- everyone can call me Ryan haha just wasnt feeling creative when I made my account.

Got it diagnosed at RX7 Heaven and came up as coils. Wouldnt be surprised if the cat has something to do with it though, the HKS exhaust could have something to do with that but im sure its just cat back..

LOL. Thought so. I still haven't done any photos of my 8. Will have to do some now that I'm finished my mild cosmetic mods.

Was tailing a 5 speed model last night from Auckland CBD on the motorway wasn't any of you guys? My driving skills weren't up to par to let him know about our mystery tour.

Forgot how small the stock exhaust was on the 5 speed....

Haha. Already done some minor cosmetic mods. Front and rear accents, strakes, and spolier. And of course the plate.

Next will be coils, leads and plugs. May upgrade to BHR coils, but I need to save some money first.

Dunno after that....might leave it stockish, but maybe the mod bug will bite by then? I have toyed with the idea of a catless midpipe, but I don't want a constant CEL

Ordered them from rotaryfx.com.

I got owned by a Civic today It was a Type R that looked like it had been modded, but was quite humbling still.

I was trying to catch up to another RX8 up ahead to use sign language to invite them on the tour, but the Civic was having none of that!.

The 8 is built for handling not straight line acceleration . Take it to a track and then watch more powerfull cars dissappear in your rear view mirrors .

That said ....... come for a ride in mine on the mystery tour . Might give you a different perspective

I didn't buy it for drag racing, it was just a moment where my ego got the better of me, then got bruised. lol. Once it recovers I'll be very happy with my RX8 again. Maybe I'll take it over Twilight Road tonight to hurry it up

hey miss 8 . I'm a landlord myself . I would suggest you negotiate with your current landlord . For one thing he can't put the rent up by that much in one hit - there are laws against it . Also : He wont want to lose you if you are a good tenant .

Miss8, i'd have a look through your tenancy agreement to the clause that deals with increases in rent, and if there is one at all.

If you want you can send me through your agreement and i'll have a look at it. But, in general:
- rent can only be increased if the tenancy agreement states that it can be
- you'll have 60 days before the increase takes place

Aw you guys are so sweet looking out for me! But basically I'm screwed.. I don't have a tenancy agreement (but I am still protected by one by law, so at least I will have 60 days notice) and there is no law to limit a rent increase unless it is way above market value. Also my landlord is struggling to pay the mortgage so it sounds like they don't have a choice. They have also lost their other tenant in the 2nd rental property aswel as needing to do repairs on their roof.

OH well something else will come up.

Anyways back on topic my rx8 is on trademe
