My New Mod
What if I tell you Revolver they will cost about $250 each?
That is what I think they cost a while back in the US. Oh it is US$ as well.
EDIT: That is from my memory - totally unreliable, but not lying.
I just not worth it, particularly it worth as much as my front brake pad, or nearly one semislick

Mind you, I did leave it beside the bowser at a servo once. Luckily, it was one of the local ones I use regularly and the guy likes my car. He retrieved it for me and had it ready when I bolted back down there panic-stricken the following morning.
Actually, since I'm doing mea culpa's, let me confess to something I never thought I'd share due to the ragging I'm sure to get. I went to check the oil once and thought "*****!, where's the oil cap?" It was gone...or so I thought.
I found it lodged near the front of the engine bay, adjacent to where I usually put it when topping up the oil. The only thing I could figure was that I hadn't put it back on when I last checked the oil. Then I started thinking about how long ago that had been and how many kms I had done with no oil cap on.
Had to have a little lie down after that.
Mind you, proof positive that the car can be driven without the oil cap if you have to.
Okay, throw rocks at me. I've assumed the crash position.
(BTW, I'm a little weirded out - just caught up on a whole host of MS updates for the 'puter and am now running IE 7 with some 'clear page' option ticked - makes the font look different).

Actually, the OEM cover doesn't look too bad - just feels a bit flimsy. Doubt the carbon thing is much lighter either.

He got flamed mercilessly too, hence my hesitation. At least mine was mere absent-mindedness. His was deliberate stupidity.
lol this forum amazes me some times. you get ragged on about the funniest things and then no one says anything about these sorts of things. Like when I cracked my rim...I was expecting the biggest flaming...nothing!
On the sock issue, how the HELL did a sock get into his engine bay?
