As sco said, read the thread he's posted a link to. It's funny just to see how apeshit some of the yanks got about it all. :D
As posted by moi, I couldn't care less. Why shouldn't the poor bloke carrying the cost of this whole contraption make a buck or two?

I raced treddlies seriously between the ages of 8 and 16 on both road and track and got to state rep level.
The grind of training got me down (not to say the fact that I was getting to the age when, ahem, supplements are required to remain competitive) and eventually I gave it up so I could spend more time surfing and girl chasing.
Regrettably, I got so good (or bad :o ) at the latter I found my wife at the age of 20 and married her 4 years later!
:D :D
BTW - speed skating is great cross-training and will shed those kilos quicker. So if you're getting a little bored with your training routine - head down to your local rink.
I've thought of taking it up again when the kids get older but Sydney has changed a lot in the interim. Training on the road would scare the hell out of me these days. Think I'll just MTB instead.

Will take pic with my mobile during the day and post up.
You know what they say about cyclists. Fitter, fitter, fitter, dead.
Shame it is like this today... not many drivers show any respect for cyclists. I do my best not to pressure them if I'm caught behind one by giving them plenty of room and when passing I give them a wide berth. At least in Queensland you can legally ride on the footpaths, so that is a haven in some of the worst areas in Brisbane.
