Nice wheels tho!

With only one week to go till we leave to get married I'm not sure what to make of the past few days??

Friday, get a call from a rather weak sounding other half, he says, can you come to the workshop I have cut my hand really bad! Alarm bells ring and revv the motor up to get there expecting him to have passed out from blood loss. Nope but cut is really nasty. End work for the day and administer first aid.

Saturday arvo am playing around with our new IPOD and get a call from the back door. Can you help me? Oh god what now! Only other half building engine for the car we are sposed to be going away in has inadvertantly spun the motor over to look at the bores not remembering that he had just sat the crank in the engine and not secured it. Hence when engine flipped over to look at bores crank fell out onto his foot. Suspect broken foot so take him off to the local casualty...two hours later i leave with a groggy other half, crutches that barely fit in the car and a letter for his boss?? Would that be me seeing as I'm a director in the company!!

So all day today his nibs has sat on the couch watching Bathurst while I have cleaned the house and cooked...this is sounding very bad. Yup also cracked a mental about house cleaning and have decided to get a cleaner.

Glad that Lowndes won Bathurst. Sad that Mark Porter has died on the mountain on such a sad weekend. Was a good race but it shouldn't have taken a life.

Now if only Bruce can get through the next week unscathed all will be well in our little household!

Ha ha I know what you mean, my mum used to do the same to me. Now I do the same to Bruce!! LOL I AM PSYCHO!! I tell you what though with only a few weeks to the wedding I am finding myself becoming a little stressed!! God knows why it's not like we are having squillions of guests!! I need to get out and drive more that's what I need. It's my stress relief. So have added gazillions of songs to the ipod and when I am finished today which should be after lunch I am goin' drivin in dem dar hills for some R&R and to warm up the tyres!!

Seems like since Bruce is injured and the car may not be ready we may end up taking the 8 away. Not that I am complaining. Will do it good to stretch it's legs!!

As far as Bruce is concerned I have him at home with strict instructions to rest, his father is coming over later to run him around and help with his errands and after that I agree short chain and no more accidents!!

How much do exams suck !?!

I have three in the same week - Aaarrrrrrhh !

Weddings are cool though - relax. A nice long drive will do you well - just ensure you don't keep on driving.... you need to come back!!

It is all worth it in the end.

Have a good one

Well, 'er indoors and I are off to experience both kinds of music tonight.

A friend scored us some free tickets to the Dixie Chicks or whatever their name is.

Yeehah!

Shame the only C&W song I know is the theme from Rawhide.

Well, it'll never be my favourite musical genre and I doubt I'll be joining the Dixie Chicks' forum anytime soon but I was impressed by their performance.

Although they had the obligatory big backing band, these girls can play a wide range of strings extremely well and the lead singer can certainly belt it out with the best of them. Easy on the eye too.

Mind you, one or two songs had me remembering lines from Deliverance.

Don't think I'd pay big bucks to see them again but was glad I made the effort to trot out to Homebush.

BTW, yes they got themselves into a lot of trouble in the States for criticising Bush about 2 weeks before the Iraq invasion got under way. The media got hold of it and the rest is history. So called land of the free huh?

Eric and the other Porsche fans will love this.

Go to http://www.porsche.com./all/911gt3rs/usa.aspx. Click on the web special link. When the skip intro prompt appears, click it and then download the racetrack link. Takes a while but it's worth it.

Well done taka - averaging 32km/h is certainly legendary! I managed 26km/h for the 210km in 8 hours 5 minutes. Thought I saw you briefly at the finish, with your striped Specialized...

You are still faster than Bracks... he got there 11.5 hours after we started!

Got there at about 330pm. Call astro around the same time and he told me he was still at the West gate.

Don't jump off the bridge mate.
