Michael, your last words will remain. Over the years, I've seen many debates turn very personal yet they still remain. I think its important people are allowed the freedom of speech to express their experiences....and this forum will continue to do that.

In time, they all die a natural death until someone comes along and injects new or factual developments on the subject matter.

Its a community forum for everyone to contribute...and it will be the community who will judge each case on it merits....

Thanks Taka for posting RB's response on this - I think it clears things up for most of us.

Michael, why are you still here? You have made a point of dissing a car you no longer own and obviously think most people here are beneath whatever standards you set yourself, so wouldn't it be better for all concerned if you moved on? Or do you just like the attention?

How was i to know that after a thread is locked BY NONE OTHER THAN YOURSELF you can THEN decide to reactivate it....... AND conveniently not give the person the tread is directed AGAINST the right to reply .

The right thing to do would have been to notIfy me of the request made by racing beat and Mazfiz to open the locked thread and post their response and then you should have notyfied me of the event and also given me the right of a reply this was not done by you .

RX8Club.com is one of the largest, and there should be a mechanism in place to solve issues like the one we are witnessing.

Where both parties disagree, (or in this case three) there should be an on-line mediation service which would require prior approval/blessing from the key stakeholders. The site should be restricted to only those involved, record the key issues and judgments can then be publicly passed on by the mods.

I have no doubt not all of the information has been put forward here, or that opinions have been supressed from public view.

This type of public accountability seems to work elsewhere, with the non-partisan members keen to see if it was just a break down in communication or an injustice which can be avoided in the future.....either way its no good leaving these things hanging in the air....

Trev, as a trained and accredited mediator, I can tell you that mediation only works when all parties have a bona fide interest in resolving the differences between them.

Michael's stated aim is to sling mud instead. Indeed, he appears to have taken some pleasure in it. So I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for some kind of facilitated reconciliation.

Further, why would anyone want to waste their time dealing with such petty crap in the manner you propose? As far as I'm concerned, we've now seen both sides of the argument and we can all make our own minds up about Michael's complaints.

And hopefully move on... :)

Hmmm...I wonder if it's the cycles of the moon? It would be good research for an amateur (or even professional) psychologist to track back though Michael's posts (under various nicks) and see whether there's a correlation between him unhinging and a full moon.

i have talked to jim a couple of times. he fixed a stupid simple issue i was having at the time. it was way beneath him to help me, but he did. as all the jims at racing beat do..

Swoope, I think the kit you are talking about was the OZZY Custom Turbo Install.

And for everyone else, you will likely never hear the famous last words until L&L makes another posts with nothing but 4th grade insults and smileys. I have unfortunately prompted yet another so I do apologise in advance.

Dave (CAIO )wasnt happy with the G-reeddy kit so he went to ken and had the turbo and manifold custom made by ken and installed by Ken from rotary motorsports ,after a while when he ended up stuffing his gearbox .

He stupidly took his car to Archie from Mazfix to check out his gearbox.

Archie being the little weasel that he really is Kept the car for a few days quoted him a absurd price to repair his gearbox and took the opportunity to copy DAVES custom made turbo exhaust manifold , and then HE Started making up his own Turbo kits .

If you look around you will find the threads by Dave CAIO accusing him of copying his manifold design .

To others who are coming in with additional criticisism back off. All Michael is doing is defending his position and expressing his opinion on something he felt wrong done by. I'm sure everyone else here has ranted on about something at some point of time.

Yes, the words will not meet with the approval of everyone but theres no reason for people who are not fully informed to go on the attack, and more so when you don't even know the person.

I have seen many other forum members go hard on other Mazda dealerships and their views have not been challenged. Its bloody unfortunate to see the thread has deteriorated to this point...

Considering many have had their say, I think I will put my few cents worth in....

First, I have personally Never dealt with either of these Retailers in Australia or the US.

For memory I don't think I have even commented until now on Michaels situation on the Air Box saga, however, Michael has never done me wrong and always considerate to my opinion's'.

Yes, Michael may be a bit "rough around the edges at times" so can I, my record here will show that.

Privately I said to him why don't you post the emails etc from RB to verify his position, he no longer has them, but according to his word he has records of International Phone Conversations, dates, times ,etc.

I certainly do not know all the nitty gritty details (and I don't want to bring it all up again) however for Michael to continually feel aggrieved there must be some injustice in 'the transaction' as no one would go on about for so long if it was not true, if I was in the same situation I would also be pissed off.

Having said that I think I would have moved on long ago...
