Interesting observation....

I know that some RX8 models ('03/04) had issues with condensation with the rear tail lights.

So am I reading this photo wrong? Is this condensation on the inside or outside of the lens????....

P.S. I have no interest in the vehicle!

i had this problem with mine for 9 months and then one day i decided to fix it myself. Removed the whole light fitting from the car and removed bulbs. Sat it on the central heating vents for a couple of hours to dry out the moisture inside. There is a rubber seal around the inside of the light where the bulbs are inserted that i super glued back to the actual fitting. Replaced bulbs and put back on the car. No more moisture of any type in light.

Mine had problems where condensation occured slightly around the bottom section of my front head lights and it started to go a bit green (I suspected it was mould). Luckily enough when I got it serviced, they fixed it

Just did mine, replaced rubber gasket, $42.00 from Mazda. Easy 10 minute job.
The gaskets are available seperately with a list price around $40.00 each. Part numbers are F151 51 163D, and F151 51 153D for left and right seals which should be readily available. Just make sure the lamps are left where they can dry out before refitting.

they replace the gasket and dry out the inside of the housing whilst shaking a finger at it and saying, "Don't do that again!"

Anyway you'd think they put a better photo up if trying to sell.. lol
I thought it was the case. I have been known to be wrong before, but it just seems strange why someone would put a photo up which would put people off, rather than one which would enhance the chances of selling the car...!

The car's probably been in a bender, that's why he's only showing the back bit.

I had both my front headlights replaced under warranty from condensation and the rear gasket replaced around the keyhole. AND, it has started again in one of the front headlights!

Both my rears fog up in th ewet. On close examination there appear to be fine cracks in the clear outer lens. Probably not much that I can do about that other than replace the lights.

The way that Mazda charges, I'll probably just live with it.

Cheers.... Otto
