My premium is cheaper because I am a doctor....

Mine is $1085 with no penality on monthly payments. Excess is $1000 but I think it is due to my mods rather than my age

Word from up bush:
as part of my farm insurance package I am paying $800, $300 excess, and both my teenage daughters can drive it.
We bushies need to have a win sometimes - you should see the price of diesel and pulp out here.

I got mine insured with Shannons for $57k with a $500 excess on a business policy...and yes I would tell them about rims/suspension mods. The guy at Shannons was great when i told him about what I did to the Honda....lowered front springs and new big wheels with sticky tyres. He understood my disease and was happy to insure all mods....Have you tried Shannon's?? They seem to be quite fair....costs me less to insure the 8 than a Honda Accord Euro?? Go figure??

In AAMI's defence, the guy I spoke to when I recast the coverage was cool about the rims. He asked if I'd gone bigger and he basically left it to me as to the increase in agreed value - it was just a matter of plugging numbers into the 'puter until we got a balance of excess, agreed value and premium that I could live with.

Glad to hear the bushbashers are getting a deal on something. I've seen the price of pulp in the boondocks - ain't cheap.

Time to resurrect this thread...last year I paid $702.62 for full comprehensive with Suncorp. At the time Shannons quoted me a bit better, but I could only bring it out on weekends. I just got my renewal notice and whilst I expected an increase the difference this year it was up...way up...$942.04 I rung and said I was ready to pull the pin...a $240 jump in one year was too much. The call taker was excellent, did some adjustments and got it down to $745.95...

I'm over the moon and when the missus finds out I've saved $200 bucks, (which she'll probably spend on new shoes) I'm sure my efforts will be appropriately rewarded...!

I was going to bitch about how much more insurance was going to cost me with FI but revolvers quote is almost exactly the same as what I was quoted! and I thought my quote was $700 too much!
