althought i have an auto i still use the 'manual' version cos the gear changes are just too low for me in auto mode. Plus it makes it like a porsche GT3, they all have seqential shift now

I don't think GT3 have a tiptronic. Their tiptronics are for the +65 customers. Porsche encourages people to choose the manual I would assume as their top of the range carrera gt is a Manual only model.

I would assume tiptronic(CVT) in any car stinks. DSG is a whole new ballgame.
