HKS Racing Suction Intake Installed!
Hi all,
Just installed my HKS Racing Suction intake kit the other day and am once again very happy with the results.
The intake noise reverberating around the stainless steel airbox sounds f***ing awesome!
Thought I would just share a few pics with you.

I'm not actually sure the engine loses power down low since it does feel "torquier".
It just feels as though the engine is slower in building up the revs from low.
Well, I gotta say it looks the part
. Don't know if I could live with the racket though...
What was the damage to your skyrocket, if you don't mind me asking?

You paid way too much for way too little.
You could get the K&N for a better system and have a metal shop build the top half of the box for you. Then you would still have another $300 USD burning a hole in your pocket.
Pity.

How is the K&N a better system?
I paid too much?
Guess I paid too much for my catback system as well, hell, I think I paid too much for the car to start with ($65k+).

They are the EXACT same thing - a foot or so of 3.5" polished aluminum pipe and an air filter.
That is it.
Neither produces ANY power. Period.
The OEM intake is the best engineered system in the world.
Try hooking up a pressure/vacuum gauge to the intake ahead of the MAF on the stock system and measure the vaccum.
There isn't any.
The main advantage to the HKS is the pretty box they mount it in.
$500 is a lot to pay for an aluminum box.
