Hello Brisbane!
Well in a few days...
This might not be the correct forum for it but...
I noticed a few people on here are from Brisbane, I will be moving there soon!
What are some sights to see? Things to do? Will not be able to afford a car, so learning transit is a must.
How cold does it get in winter? I'm assuming it won't get to -50C like it does here, but should I bring sweaters and jackets?
I'm very excited!
Thanks!

Hi there Daemos, firstly, if it gets down to 0 deg C in Winter it's a f'ing cold day!!! Single digits is normally as cold as it gets in Brisbane at night. A cold Winter's day is in the low teens.
There's plenty to see and do in South-East Queensland (2 hour driving radius). Tell us what things interest you so that we can better direct you. Do you know the exact duration that you'll be in Brisbane?
Cheers,
Danny

Hey Danny,
I will be studying at UQ, my program will last for 4 years. I will be located in St Lucia. I looked at a map of Brisbane and it's very very large!
I enjoy photography, anything to do with cars (preferably something that I don't require my own car to enjoy, since I cannot afford one when I'm there), pubs, clubs, movies, theater, amusement parks, sightseeing, etc.
Thanks!

For 9-10 months of the year the climate is great, but it is very humid at present (think Florida the other way around). A cold winter's night could be around 5-6C before dawn, but more likely 8-10C. Winter's days are from ~17-25C, and quite dry and sunny.
Enjoy your stay. we've been living here for 24 years, and wouldn't live anywhere else.
